Ryan Bailey in www.Aquaticsnews.com

Ryan Bailey, 34 year old American hero from Beijing, has signed a contract to play for world famous N.C. Vouliagmeni, this coming season.

Bailey spent the past two seasons playing for Partizan in Serbia and has been plsying for the US National team for many years.

This is his second time in Greece and the seconf time that he will play with Yiannis Yiannouris.

We met him in Rome, after the succesful Quarter – final game with Germany.

Simply The Best

Olympiacos won the 2009 title of the Greek A1 Men Water polo Championship for 22nd time and 3rd in a row, in his history.

The players of Vangelis Pateros proved and this year that they are absolute sovereign in Greece, after they won the Championhsip and the Greek Cup this year, after 31 games unbeaten.

The “sweap” for Olympiacos came easily, with score 3 - 0 on Panionios, in the Playoffs finals.

In the last 3rd final on Sunday (31/5) in Piraeus, the “Reds” beat easily Panionios with 12 – 5, in front of 500 spectators.

Red passion for glory

They say the value of the conquered, gives glory to the winner.

The championship at Greece, after 11 years won the women´s water polo of Olympiacos, after winning by 9-10, in the home of European champion, Vouliagmeni.

The team of  Theocharis Pavlides was a striking reversal in the series finished with a score of 3 to 2, although it was found twice, behind in the series.

The tenacity and desire shown by the girls from Piraeus in the final phase of the play offs was great and certainly much needed strength to manage one win in NOV, three times within 10 days.

Primorac Kotor new European Champion

For the first time in her 87th years history Primorac Kotor win the Euroleague cup after beating Pro Recco with 8-7 in today’s big final.

The team from Montenegro make one of the biggest surprises in water polo history because Pro Recco was the absolute favorite to win the title for one more year.
The game started with both teams to had a lot of stress in their actions.

The defenses were very strong and the players couldn’t found the way to score some goals. Both goalkeepers were in an excellent shape an especially Radic of Kotor made some great saves. The first period ended with the score in 1-1.

The fall of the Emperor

Before the 21st game of the championship both Chania and Ethnikos kept their own hopes for staying to the category and at this match at Chania they have their only chance.

Ethnikos had the one goal advantage from the first round game between the two teams, but they have to win the last game against NEP at Piraeus.

The team that held 36 from a total of 77 championships in Greece until 1928 next year is going to playing at A2 category.
